- Description
- Compressed in 2006 using spring 2005 Mengku Large Leaf Variety material, this brick demonstrates how compression can influence long-term aging. Its unusually tight compression slowed its transformation over time, resulting in a tea described as delicate and sweet, with good returning sweetness, lingering salivation, excellent endurance, and pronounced cha qi after nearly two decades of aging. After production, this tea was stored in Kunming from 2006 to 2013 before continuing its aging in Chengdu under the care of producer and collector You Cai. This two-stage storage history adds another dimension to its transformation over nearly twenty years.
