Description
Mei Zhan cultivar is originally from Fujian province, but it has been grown in Ya’an for decades, where the famous Mengding teas come from. Some tea producers there have been experimenting with this cultivar to make black teas, visiting Fujian to learn about their processing techniques. This tea is a great learning example of Fujian cultivar grown in a foreign province. Jin Jun Mei is a famous tea style invented between 2005 and 2007 in Tongmu village, where the other 3 of our other July 2022 club teas come from. Its processing method includes one time roasting for ~20 days.

Shipped in July 2022
