Description
Xiao means small, indicating the picking standard is rather tender - 1 bud and 2 leaves. Chi means red, and Gan means sweet. Its name reflects the orange red liquor color and sweet taste. Its counterpart, Da (Big) Chi Gan, has a coarser picking standard with 1 bud and 3 leaves. Similar to Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong, this tea is produced from Tongmu Natural Reserve. Fresh leaves are withered, rolled, oxidized, and then baked to become the final product. The tea’s texture is smooth, its aroma honey sweet, and its taste peachy with a sweet aftertaste.
