This Meng Ding Gan Lu (蒙顶甘露, lit. Meng Ding Sweet Dew) was fully handmade by our founder Vincent Liu on March 9, 2022. It's made only from the earliest first flush buds.
It’s a lesser known but extremely fine Chinese green tea. Originally designated a tribute tea for over a thousand years, Meng Ding Gan Lu is often ranked among the top ten Chinese teas. Mengding Mountain, where this tea is grown, is located 70 miles west of Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province, and has the earliest tea plantations ever recorded in written Chinese.
Its processing method requires three stages of pan frying and rolling, with the finished tea being distinctly recognizable by the appearance of the buds, which are curly and covered with soft and fluffy down.

Finally tasted Vincent’s Guan lu. Wow! Super honey syrup, chestnut, sautéed asparagus or artichoke, and a mineral finish along the lines of chalk. What an enjoyable guan lu. I look forward to hear others opinions 🥰
