Description
Gong Xiang (贡香) Dancong is a rare variety within the Dancong family, categorized under the prestigious Huang Zhi Xiang (Gardenia Aroma) type. The term "Gong" in the Chaozhou dialect translates to "high, prominent, and bold," describing its intense and captivating fragrance. This tea originates from Nanlingwan Village, renowned for its Gong Xiang mother tree that's over 50 years old. The leaves of Gong Xiang tea trees grow rather vertically, making them more challenging to harvest compared to other Dancong varieties. The tea is processed with three light roastings, which enhance its natural floral aroma and robust flavor. The dry leaves exude a faint yet elegant gardenia scent with a hint of sweetness. When brewed, the liquor is a rich, amber hue, offering a refreshing floral aroma and a sweet, lingering aftertaste. The wet leaves are uniform and vibrant, displaying green leaves with red edges.
