Description
Meng Ding Huang Da Cha, or “Yellow Big Tea,” is a particularly mellow and nourishing expression of yellow tea. Harvested on April 20, 2022, from old Lao Chuan Cha (heirloom) trees at 1200–1300 meters on misty Mengding Mountain in Ya’an, Sichuan, this batch was initially processed in late April and then pressed into tea coins in August, allowing it to age gracefully over three years. The aging has deepened its dried-fruit aroma while preserving clarity. Brewed, the liquor glows a warm golden yellow, delivering a smooth, clean sweetness with a soft, satiny mouthfeel. Its gentle oxidation during the sealing-yellow stage produces small amounts of theaflavins—compounds linked in studies to antioxidant and cardiovascular support—which, together with its soft profile, gives the cup a comforting, easy-on-the-body quality traditionally valued for digestive ease. Meng Ding Huang Da Cha is for those who want an unforced, elegant cup that unfolds slowly and leaves a lingering sense of grounded well-being.
